Marvel Rivals' Cloak & Dagger Maintains Balance Through "Growth & Decay" In New Cosmetic Skin

Marvel Rivals' current character roster was finalized following the release of its Launch Trailer, which confirmed the last batch of playable heroes unlocked and all free-to-play (F2P) at launch on 6th December 2024. Of the heroes revealed in the aforementioned trailer, Cloak and Dagger was confirmed as the game's first duo to join the battle across the Multiverse.

Developer NetEase Games has recently given this crime-fighting duo the spotlight as featured in the latest daily news announcement for the superhero team-based PvP shooter Marvel Rivals from developer NetEase Games. While this duo has slowly gained popularity over the last few years thanks to appearances in the live-action series Cloak & Dagger and both featured in Marvel Snap, this time, their symbiotic partnership takes centerstage in Marvel Rivals.

The symbiotic pairing of Tyrone Johnson / Cloak and Tandy Bowen / Dagger was officially revealed in the Launch Trailer for Marvel Rivals alongside a few more heroes like Black Widow, Iron Fist, Squirrel Girl, and the Wolverine. Cloak and Dagger will occupy one hero slot in-game, which players can switch between the two heroes during matches; the tandem heroes took centerstage in the new Rivals Assemble video and their respective Character Reveal trailer.

Players got a first look at Cloak and Dagger's combat kit, including unique abilities and skills; they were also featured in the latest daily news announcement posted across the game's social media channels. The developer posted on 4th December 2024 the duo's latest cosmetic skin reveal, "Growth & Decay," an original skin design debuts during Marvel Rivals' Season 0 for players to acquire.

Its official description states, "In a world where opposites coexist, they knew that every force is connected," and "as they stand between these powerful extremes, they fight to keep the world in balance."  This original Marvel Rivals cosmetic skin for Cloak and Dagger will likely appear in the in-game Store; however, its pricing has yet to be determined as of writing.
