Developer NetEase Games detailed in the announcement post for the Marvel Rivals Championship Season 0: Dooms' Rise tournament, starting with its registration window that went live on 8th December 2024 and continues until 14th December 2024. This can be done on the "Tournament" tab in-game which each team or Faction must have six players eligible to participate if they're 16 years and older, as players who are 16 years old "must submit a fully signed guardian consent form to the organizers" as they would be considered minors during the registration window.
The opening qualifiers will occur between 14th and 15th December 2024, and closed qualifiers begin between 21st and 22nd December 2024. - The top 128 teams (Factions) in the closed qualifiers will advance to the double-elimination stage.
- During the double-elimination stage, the matches from 256 to 16 will follow a Best of Three (BO3) format, while the Grand Finals and the Lower Bracket Finals will follow a Best of Seven (BO7) format.
- The other stages will adopt a Best of Five (BO5) format.
Regarding the prize pool, the confirmed total prize pool is $14,500 per region, which are China PC only, North America (NA) PC & Console, Europe PC & Console, and Asia PC & Console regions. The developer detailed the prize pool breakdown: the Champions receive the winner's purse of $6,000, the runner-up gets $3,000, and the third-placed team/Faction gets to net $1,500.
The fourth-placed team/Faction will pocket $800, while the fifth to eight placed teams/Factions will be awarded $400 each. The remaining teams/Factions placed ninth to 16th will walk away with $200 per team/Faction.
