It is no secret that Lost Ark, from Slimegate and Amazon Game Studios, has been a tremendous success, shooting up the Steam concurrent players leaderboard with ease. While the game has, in terms of player numbers, kicked some serious behind, there are some issues as well. Some players can't get access to their Premium Content items, while others can't access the in-game store of Lost Ark.
The developers have now provided an update on the issues of missing Premium Content items, Crystalline Auras and the in-game store.
Lost Ark missing items and store update
Via the official Lost Ark forums, a community manager going by the nickname TrevzorFTW has outlined current issues.
We all know there are currently server instability issues, especially in the European region, and therefore the Lost Ark Error 10027 and the "Cannot Connect Due To Heavy Traffic" issue plaguing EU servers.
The developer notes that they have confirmed items are missing from the Product Inventory, that the Store is unavailable in-game, and that characters are missing Crystalline Auras.
Community Manager TrevzorFTW explains the root cause of these Lost Ark issues: "While these things sound like they could be different issues, they are actually all linked to one root cause. For these entitlements, two different servers need to talk to each other, the game server and the commerce server. Right now there is an issue where the commerce server, due to the massive load that it is experiencing from how many people are playing Lost Ark, fails to properly communicate with the game server.
"This is why sometimes you can see and claim your items, make purchases from the store, and see that your Crystalline Aura is active and working, while other times you can’t. It’s the intermittency that caused our team to investigate the issue for so long before we could give a meaningful update. We have seen that while these items appear to not be on your account, they are still entitled to you."
So when will these missing Premium Content items, Crystalline Auras and more come back? Well, the developers are working on a fix. There is no exact date or time for the upcoming update that will fix most of those "major commerce-related issues."
It is important to note that the developers are "hoping" to include all the fixes in the Lost Ark update and on 15th February 2022, they noted "we are prepping for this coming week".
