Upcoming life-sim, Life By You has been on a rocky path. After intially being set for its early access lauch on March 5, 2024, the game was pushed back to June 4. Now, with just under two weeks before that planned release date, Paradox Interactive has announced that Life By You has been delayed once again, but this time a new release date hasn't been put forward.
In a statement posted to Paradox's forum, the Paradox CEO Mattias Lilja announced, "After much consideration, we regret to announce that we have decided to retract Life by You’s Early Access release date, previously set for June 4th.
This was not an easy decision, especially since we understand the anticipation and excitement that many players have for the game. However, we believe that additional development time is needed."
The delay leaves Life By You without a new release date, which Paradox have said is so that the team can "plan ahead, rather than committing to a new date that we cannot be certain to meet."
While the news will no doubt come as a disappointment for those waiting on the new life sim's release, the community has been understanding, preferring to wait longer for a more finished product.
Though early access is still seemingly a ways off, according to the game's Steam FAQs, initial content will include customization options, Creator Tools, character interactions, and quests, with some features being introduced throughout the early access period.
Development updates and videos have been regularly posted to the game's YouTube channel, where fans can follow along with studio's progress.
