Lethal Company won IndieDB's Indie of the Year Award 2023, beating out other popular titles like Party Animals and Sledders. The co-op horror game was just released in Early Access in October 2023 - barely over 2 months ago - but it's exploded in popularity, and is beloved especially among streamers and content creators who enjoy its goofy-yet-spooky atmosphere. Behind the game is solo developer Zeekerss, who is also known for his Roblox creations.
The final Top 10 for IndieDB's Indie of the Year award includes:
- Lethal Company
- Slay the Princess
- Occupy Mars: The Game
- Bob: A thousand lives Enhanced Edition
- Shadows of Doubt
- Bzzzt
- Party Animals
- dotAGE
- Sledders
- Forgive Me Father 2
