A new cycle is about to begin in Legends of Runeterra, as Riot’s card game will introduce a whole new set leading to a land where enchantments and mischief run freely with Beyond the Bandlewood.
Presented together with a new cinematic trailer narrated by League’s favorite explorer Teemo, the Beyond the Bandlewood set will introduce the tenth and final region from Runeterra into the game, being none other than Bandle City.
Beyond the Bandlewood: Reveal trailer and Bandle City
Bandle City is a timeless region beyond the material realm, where only a few have journeyed through the mysterious portals found across Runeterra.
These portals will introduce a new mechanic called multi-region cards, allowing the potential to build different kinds of decks using new strategies. When building a deck with these cards, the only requirement is to have a single-region card from either of the cards' two regions.
Beyond the Bandlewood: First cards revealed
Riot has also revealed a bunch of the new cards, bringing almost all Yordles into the TCG along with a brand new landmark, the Bandle Tree.
As well as multi-region cards, Bandle City has all sorts of magic to offer in Beyond the Bandlewood, which will also introduce new cards from every other region, as well as a few entirely-new keywords to be revealed in the following days.
Additionally, some existing cards will be updated with two new subtypes added in Beyond the Bandlewood: Yordle and Fae, having new synergies with the featured champions of the set.
For now, it’s just a matter of time to see the debut of these and many other cards and Yordle units, as Beyond the Bandlewood arrives in Legends of Runeterra on 25th August.
