Killer Klowns from Outer Space's new Waterfront Pier map is coming to the game on 22 August, introducing a totally new environment where Killer Klowns can track down Humans. It's the first addition of a new map since the game's release back in June, an update that will no doubt excite many fans of the title.
The trailer for the map includes a huge ferris wheel (complete with a literal cherry on top), a Jojo Ice Cream stand, and a carousel, much like the game's existing Amusement Park map. While it does bear some similarities to that map, it has its own charm, with a wooded boardwalk floor and neon signage for each shop.
YouTuber cyber7148 posted a detailed walkthrough of the new Waterfront Pier, showcasing its visuals, escape locations, and pathways. The walkthrough shows a boardwalk with various shops like a surf shop, arcade, and more, along with various burnt and dilapidated fair rides.
As an added bonus, there's even more beneath the surface of this map: two hidden areas, giving players even more places to hide or chase down opponents. You can find these spots underneath the pier in an abandoned parking lot, and in the tunnels beneath the entrance to the park. There are multiple entrances to these hidden pathways, too, so it's a good idea to keep your eyes peeled as you explore the new world around you.
The introduction of those hidden underground areas adds some substantial vertical play space to the Pier, which differentiates it from the game's other maps that focus largely on spanning more horizontal space. This could switch up gameplay and potentially even impact the game's meta.
