How To Complete Topclouded Towerthrust Mission In Honkai Star Rail

Honkai: Star Rail 1.2 update has brought a brand new Trailblaze Mission called Topclouded Towerthrust quest, in which you will head over to the two new regions added to the game, Alchemy Commission and Scalegorge Waterscape, and will fight the new boss, Phantylia the Undying.

The quest features incredible cutscenes and multiple puzzles you will have to solve, making finishing the quest a bit tricky for some players. If you are one of them, here's our complete walkthrough guide for the Topclouded Towerthrust quest in Honkai: Star Rail. 

Honkai Star Rail: Topclouded Towerthrust Quest Guide 

The first part of the Topclouded Towerthrust is the Desolate Depths of Despair subquest, in which you will be going to the Alchemy Commission for the first time. You can start the quest by going into the missions menu. Once you start its navigation, you will first have to go to the marked location in Artisanship Commission and enter Alchemy Commission through the door. 

A cutscene will begin where you will see dead people, and you will then have to check on the survivors by going to the location marked on the map. Talk to the survivor and battle against the enemy, and then after completing a dialogue, go to the next marked location and talk to the Cloud Knights commanded by Fu Xuan.

Then, go to the Cloud Knights and find out about the outcome of the fight and then wait for Fu Xuan. Complete a series of dialogues, and then, you will be asked to turn off three small exilir crucibles by going into the quest location and investigating the pillars. Go upstairs towards Master of the Disciples of Santus Medicus and have a battle against them.

After that, a cutscene will begin, and you will see Tingyun die, but is she actually dead is still a mystery. A battle will initiate after that, and you will then have to complete a dialogue. Next, take the skarskiff that Fu Xuan will take you to and enter the second new area, Scalegorge Waterscape.

A cutscene will begin after that, and you will have to go through the talks. Go to the next marked location and keep following the highlighted spots. After a cutscene, go to the next marked location and talk to Past Echo, a floating entity, and then, a cutscene will appear; after that, you will have to fight Yanqing. 

Complete a long dialogue afterward, and then go to Dragonvista Rain Hall. Beat the monsters there and complete another series of dialogue. Then, go to the highlighted spot near the statue of high elder in front of you that will trigger a cutscene and a few dialogues. Complete those to finish the Desolate Depths of Despair subquest.

The next subquest you will have to complete in the series is A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant, which will begin by stepping into the ancient Vidyadhara Ruins. To do this, go to the location marked on the map and talk to the voices. You will then be tasked to remove three Vidyadhara seals which is a puzzle, and you can find its detailed solution in our dedicated guide for it.

After removing all three Vidyadhara seals, go to the next marked location to enter the depths of the Roots of the Arbor. A cutscene and series of dialogues will begin, and after completing them, you will have to battle the new boss, Phantylia, and you can find the tips to beat her easily in our detailed guide about it.

A cutscene will begin after that, along with a long series of dialogues. You will return to Exalting Sanctum, and the Topclouded Towerthrust quest will be completed.
