What Is The Honkai Star Rail Forgotten Hall?

The Forgotten Hall in Honkai Star Rail is a challenge mode consisting of different floors similar to the Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact. Most gacha games have modes in which players will either ascend or descend through several stages, each with unique mechanics and restrictions. Forgotten Hall is Honkai: Star Rail's version of this game mode.  

There exist two types of stages in Forgotten Hall. Memory stages are unlocked as you continue to beat earlier stages and progress. Memory of Chaos stages have a higher difficulty and will be updated (both in terms of content and rewards) continuously.

Memory Turbulence is another aspect of this game mode and introduces several restrictions that players must adhere to in order to win. These include permanent ally debuffs, turn restrictions, and having no characters die in battle. 

How To Unlock The Honkai Star Rail Forgotten Hall

To unlock the Honkai Star Rail Forgotten Hall, players will need to first complete the main story quest, "Fleeting Lights."

When entering Forgotten Hall, players will be unable to change their party setup. This includes team formation, equipped Light Cones, inventory consumables, and more. Think of the Forgotten Hall like the Elite Four in Pokémon. Once you enter, you can't leave until you either win, are defeated, or give up.

Honkai Star Rail Forgotten Hall Rewards

Honkai Star Rail Forgotten Hall rewards include currency like Stellar Jade and Credits, ascension materials, and Light Cone exchange materials. There are 15 static Memory stages in Forgotten Hall that offer one-time completion rewards. Memory of Chaos stages, on the other hand, are 10 stages that will continually update their challenges and are designed for late-game players. As such, you can find far better rewards in Memory of Chaos stages. 

Additionally, by earning a certain number of stars in Forgotten Hall, players can earn even more rewards, including bulk amounts of Stellar Jade and Credits! The grand prize, however, is Lucent Afterglow, which can be used to exchange for unique and powerful Light Cones!
