As iconic as Master Chief himself, skulls have become a staple of the Halo franchise since the very beginning, with Halo Infinite boasting a healthy dose of them.
More than just elusive collectables, these hard to find crania offer players modifiers that range from playful, such as confetti popping out of Grunts when you headshot them, to the outright painful, like giving all enemies double health/shields.
With the release of Infinite's campaign, fans are hard at work trying to hunt down every skull. It's not an easy task, considering the latest entry in the Halo franchise is an open-world game, letting you freely explore every nook and cranny of Zeta Halo.
Can you miss skulls in Halo Infinite?
Having said that, the first couple of Halo Infinite missions are built in a more traditional way, and yes, there are skulls hidden, meaning that unless you start from scratch, if you missed them, you'll have to boot up a new savefile.
Instead of going through such hassle, check out our comprehensive guide to get all skulls in Halo Infinite.
All Halo Infinite skulls
There are a total of 12 skulls to be found in Halo Infinite, so let's get started.
Boom Skull
On mission 1, when you reach the section with three moving platforms, climb on top of one, and wait until it takes you near the top without hitting the red wall as it will kill you.
You should be able to see the skull on a static platform.
Cowbell
On mission 2, right after you reach the small flashback memories Chief has regarding his youth and Dr Halsey (after the elevator), you'll find yourself in a large room with a big pit, look up and you can see a small dimly lit platform you can make your way towards using your grapple hook.
IWHBYD
On The Tower, you need to reach the absolute top of it from the outside using your grappling hook.
It's highly recommended you try this when you get the upgrade cooldown that makes your hook come out 40% faster, as it's near impossible otherwise.
Blind
For this one, you need to travel to the southern mountain of the first island you drop into. Make your way to the middle of the section pictured below by climbing from the right section.
You know you're on the right track when you see a dead Marine and a Banshee ship spawning right above you. Keep climbing down following the lighted path and you'll spot the skull.
Catch
For this one, we head straight north on that first island, where you'll find an easy to spot skull defended by two Hunters.
The skull is one of the easiest to find, however, the difficulty comes from the two enemies surrounding the area. If you feel unequipped you can try to run circles around them, pick up the skull and bail.
Fog
West of FOB Alpha past the mountainous area you'll find a structure built with hexagons. Using your quickshot grappling hook, swiftly make your way up and across the structure to find another skull.
Famine
On Island II, get yourself a flying vehicle and head over the flying solitary hexagonal structure south of the east sequence beacon.
When you hear the skull sound queue, drop out of your ship and locate the skull for you to pick up which should be in plain sight.
Black Eye
Travel to Riven Gate and head south, keep your eyes peeled for a waterfall as the skull will be found behind it.
Use your grappling hook to reach a small cavern behind the waterfall, and the skull is waiting for you right there.
Thunderstorm
For this one, again, a vehicle is recommended. On the west side of the north sequence beacon. The skull is located on the top of a solitary looking hexagonal structure.
While no vehicle can't get to it, disembark on the bottom floor and use your grapple hook to reach the top.
Mythic
On the mission The Command Spire, when you reach a big wide area on the Transport Hub, clear the enemies and spot the location in which the hexagonal structures make a turn in their route, climb on top of one quickly and unto a small platform above them.
Once you're on the ceiling, look up and a platform will be waiting for you to grapple over, the skull is through the door.
Grunth Birthday Party
This is a bit of a two-parter. First, midway through the mission, when you reach the room that triggers a cutscene with the Weapon telling you the "good news," and after you clear the enemies you'll see two unreachable doors, left and right.
On the right side from which you enter, there's a Power Seed, using your hook to reach the area, pick up the seed and make your way to the other room. This is where you'll deposit the Power Seed.
Now, proceed as normal through the level, until you reach a room with a wide symmetrical room with Sentinels spawning on both sides, clear the room and go to the window on top of the room. The skull is guarded by four Covenant blademasters. Kill them and collect your prize.
Bandana
On Mission 15, Silent Auditorium, do not kill any Sentinels. If you see them, walk away and avoid contact. As soon as you do, the room in which the skull is located will be closed permanently.
The room itself is easy to find. When you reach a room that has a big elevator when you turn left, simply walk forward to a now-opened room to spot the skull.
