There’s arguably no game that’s being as hotly-anticipated by legions of fans as Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), which makes Rockstar’s tight-lipped nature on the matter all the more heart-wrenching.
Fans recently got to know that the next entry in the series is in active development. But now, an alleged GTA 6 leak is teasing some gameplay footage for the same.
First posted by user Teapotuberhacker on GTAForums on 18th September 2022, a zip file containing over 90 gameplay clips of an in-development build of Grand Theft Auto 6 has sparked intense interest among fans online.

Even big-name streamers such as Twitch megastar Felix "xQc" Lengyel have also jumped on the matter and streamed the alleged leak on their channels.
Teapotuberhacker has claimed that these clips have been sourced from Rockstar’s internal Slack channels, so there might be some legitimacy to the whole affair.
The footage in question showcases female and male protagonists (seemingly named Jason); this is congruent with previous reports. You can read more about GTA 6's female protagonist and story in our earlier article.
Other mechanics, such as shop robberies, shooting, and NPC conversations, can also be seen in these videos. Additionally, the development build confirms that the next game could be set in Vice City.
Twitter user Melzy posted many screenshots from these leaked videos, which you can see below.

Of course, it needs to be said that the development build is very primitive; this would be understandable considering that Grand Theft Auto 6 is still in active development at this point.
But some fans also claim that the leak might be fake since this leaked build appears to be using the same game assets as Grand Theft Auto 5, so there’s that to consider as well.
Still, it’s best to take this information with a grain of salt. Rockstar Games is yet to comment on the matter; however, we will endeavor to update this article if a statement is made.
