Developer Santa Monica Studio's critically acclaimed action-adventure game God of War: Ragnarök just received its official PC requirements ahead of its September 2024 release. The action-adventure game, first released for PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles in November 2022, will be landing on PCs via the Epic Games Store and Steam; however, one requirement is so significant that they may overwhelm the Nine Realms.

This saw an update to their respective listings, which showed how much storage PC players are required to free up to download the game, which is a staggering size. Players are required to free up more storage for God of War: Ragnarök when compared to its PlayStation counterpart if they are planning to jump into Kratos and Atreus' next adventure across the Nine Realms while Odin gears up "for a prophesied battle that will end the world."

Recently, Santa Monica Studio released the PC requirements for God of War: Ragnarök's anticipated PC port, which was first announced at the PlayStation State of Play in May 2024. Just over a month after its release, the PC requirements highlight key details, including support for "all major graphics cards," while updating the game's storage requirements.

For both minimum and recommended requirements, it's revealed that players must have around 190 GB to download and run the game on PC. It's been reported that compared to its PlayStation ports, the PC port's storage requirements are doubled compared to its console counterpart, which hopefully can only mean that there's a significant amount of improvements added to its PC port at launch.

However, at launch, the game will not be Steam Deck verified based on its Steam listing, which may be disappointing news for Steam Deck owners. Furthermore, the game will require players to have an active PlayStation Network (PSN) account to be able to play God of War: Ragnarök, which this requirement has come under scrutiny over the last few months following the Helldivers 2 debacle.
