Void Intercept Battles in The First Descendant Explained

Void Intercept Battles are Raid-like encounters with challenging bosses. It's an activity in which you face off against Colossuses, which are giant bosses, in an even gigantic arena. The objective is to kill the Colossus before time runs out. 

Like Special Operations, Void Intercept Battles support matchmaking. These are more elaborate encounters that require proper communication with party members. Every Colossus has its own weak points, destructible parts, and elemental resistances, so you could know beforehand what you're getting into. Additionally, you can view all the Amorphous Materials this boss could drop, so there's an option for target farming.

How to Start Void Intercept Battles in The First Descendant

To start Void Intercept Battles in a zone, you first must finish all the main quests in that zone. For instance, to start the Void Intercept Battle quest "Another Duty" in the Kingston zone, you have to finish all the main quests in Kingston.

Once you have finished all the main quests in a zone, the Void Intercept Battle boss will appear on the World Map. You can directly select the boss, or if you're in Albion, talk to an NPC named "Seneca." 

As mentioned previously, Void Intercept Battles are challenging encounters that require proper planning and coordination with team members. To make things more difficult, you only have three lives in each encounter. The mission will fail if your team dies more than three times. You could, however, rescue stunned or downed enemies within the time limit to save a life.
