Final Fantasy 14 Lunar Subterrane Dungeon: All Requirements, Achievements, Release Date

Final Fantasy 14 has no shortage of dungeons for players to team up and take on, with the promises of riches and more to be found within. In the upcoming Patch 6.5 Growing Light, a new dungeon is set to arrive called The Lunar Subterrane. 

Like most of the newer dungeons, The Lunar Subterrane won't be one for rookie players. In fact, a number of requirements will need to be met before players can attempt to take on the battles within. Below, we'll go over everything we know about this latest dungeon ahead of its release on October 3, 2023. 

FF14: The Lunar Subterrane Dungeon Requirements

In order to take on The Lunar Subterrane in Final Fantasy 14, players will need to ensure they meet the following requirements:

• Level Requirement: Disciple of War or Disciple of Magic Level 90
• Item Level Requirement: Average item level 620 or higher
• Completion of Endwalker Main Scenario Quest: TBA

Other important information includes:

• Party Size: 4 Players
• Time Limit: 90 Minutes

The Lunar Subterrane Duty Updates

With the introduction of this new dungeon, a number of changes have been made to Duties:

• The Lunar Subterrane has been added to Duties
• The Lunar Subterrane has been added to Duty Roulette: Mentor
• Players can enter The Lunar Subterrane with Trust or Duty Support NPCs
• Explorer mode is enabled
• The Lunar Subterrane replaces Lapis Manalis in Duty Roulette: Expert. Lapis Manalis is now part of Duty Roulette: Level 90.
• The average item level to register for Duty Roulette: Level 90 has been increased from 575 to 590.
• The average item level to register for Duty Roulette: Expert has been increased from 605 to 620.
• The average item level to register for Duty Roulette: Mentor has been increased from 615 to 625.

FF14: The Lunar Subterrane Dungeon Release Date

The Lunar Subterrane dungeon will be available in Final Fantasy 14 with the launch of the 6.5 Patch, Growing Light, which will go live on October 3, 2023. More information is expected to follow once the full patch notes have been made available.

The Lunar Subterrane will now count towards the completion of certain achievements:

• Tank You, Paladin I — V
• Tank You, Warrior I — V
• Tank You, Dark Knight I — V
