Domestic leagues are winding down the final few games of their seasons, and it’s time to recognize the most impressive individual performers. With each campaign, FIFA Ultimate Team celebrates the best players from each top-tier league with official Team of the Season squads.
In addition to normal TOTS festivities, EA Sports have given the fans a say in who makes the final cut. A Community Vote TOTS squad will be released in addition to the league-official teams, as decided by the fans.
The FIFA 21 Team of the Season event officially kicks off on Friday, 23rd April 2021. And now we have a look at the new card design for these high-powered TOTS players.
FIFA 21 La Liga Team of the Season - predictions

La Liga has enjoyed an exciting season filled with shake-ups and the widely speculated end of an era. Usual league-winners Real Madrid and Barcelona find themselves three and five points off the top, respectfully. While Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid are in pole position with only seven matchdays remaining.
Sevilla, last season’s Europa League winners, have struggled thus far finding themselves down in 14th place. So let’s take a closer look at who might make the starting XI for the FIFA 21 La Liga TOTS.
Goalkeeper
- GK: Jan Oblak - Atlético Madrid
- GK: Thibaut Courtois - Real Madrid
These two selections pick themselves, as both Madrid defences have been a clear cut above the rest. Oblak has been stellar as his club has only allowed in 20 goals in 31 domestic matches played. Courtois is not far behind with Real Madrid only conceding 24 times in La Liga play.

Defenders
- LB: Jordi Alba - Barcelona
- CB: Sergio Ramos - Real Madrid
- CB: Pau Torres - Villareal
- RB: Jules Koundé - Sevilla
- LB: Ferland Mendy - Real Madrid
As the years go on, Sergio Ramos continues to stand out as one of the best defenders in world football. His top-level play is a big reason Real Madrid are still in title contention with seven La Liga matches left to play.

Jordi Alba and Ferland Mendy have been excellent as usual, providing creative outlets from wide positions. Pau Torres has helped power his Villareal side to 5th in the table, while Jules Koundé has been a standout for an otherwise disappointing Sevilla team.
Midfielders
- CM: Luka Modrić - Real Madrid
- CM Toni Kroos - Real Madrid
- CDM: Sergio Canales - Real Betis
- CM: Frankie De Jong - Barcelona
- CM: Marcos Llorente - Sevilla
It’s been yet another year of midfield dominance for the Real Madrid men. Kroos and Modrić have been timeless and this season is just another example of their excellence. Frankie De Jong has come on strong for Barcelona in his second season with the club. Whilst Sergio Canales has been a big part of powering Real Betis up to 6th place and on the brink of European competition for next season.

Forwards
- ST: Luis Suárez - Atlético Madrid
- RW: Lionel Messi - Barcelona
- ST: Iago Aspas - Celta Vigo
- LW: Mikel Oyarzabal - Real Sociedad
- ST: Karim Benzema - Real Madrid
Another year goes by as Messi and Luis Suárez continue to terrorize defenders. Iago Aspas and Mikel Oyarzabal are enjoying peak performances as their goal-scoring returns have been excellent. And big Benzema finds himself as always, scoring goals in abundance. Though, with such a recently high-powered Player of the Month card, it would be rather surprising to see Benzema get the nod.
