Just a month and a half after his contract with Echo Fox expired following the disbandment of the organization, Dominique "SonicFox" McLean, arguably the most important and influential fighting game player in the world, was announced as Evil Geniuses' (EG) latest signing via Twitter after spending the last three years with Rick Fox's now-defunct org.
SonicFox won't make the transition alone as Jon "dekillsage" Coello, his Dragon Ball FighterZ training partner and best friend will join him once more.

The five-time EVO champion who was recently crowned champion at Final Kombat 2020 - Mortal Kombat 11's most prestigious tournament to date - is perhaps most well-known for his legendary rivalry with one Goichi "GO1" Kishida, whom he's faced at several majors in Dragon Ball FighterZ, including back-to-back EVO grand finals.
With SonicFox's performances in the anime fighter looking a little shaky as of late, with a shocking exit during the group stages of the World Tour Finals (WTF) losing every single match he had (including getting 2-0'd against dekillsage), it's clear his current focus is on the NetherRealm Studios game, going back to his roots as a Mortal Kombat extraordinaire.
Dominating the scene, the 22-year-old has only ever placed as low as 2nd at a Mortal Kombat 11 tournament, managing wins at Summit of Time 2019, Defend the North 2019, EVO 2019, and the aforementioned Final Kombat 2020.
Dekillsage's road has been a more quiet one, slowly picking up steam as of late with amazing performances in late 2019, coming in 3rd at last February's Dragon Ball WTF, 4th at Red Bull Japan and 3rd at Red Bull Spain, where he lost to SonicFox 3-1.
Both will now join a vast roster of prominent members of the FGC community under the EG flag, such as Ricki "HelloKittyRicki" Ortiz, EVO champ Christopher "NYChrisG" Gonzalez, and Super Smash Bros. Melee God Kevin "PPMD" Nanney.
