The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) and Sony Group Corporation have signed a multi-year partnership agreement which will see the two groups collaborate for the Esports World Cup. The inaugural Esports World Cup 2024 is set to take place this summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
As part of the agreement, Sony Pictures Entertainment will create a documentary series, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the Esports World Cup 2024. Sony will also be providing additional support and opportunities to creators in the region, while Sony Music Entertainment will produce the music Anthem of the Esports World Cup 2024.

The Esports World Cup will see a multi-game celebration of competitive gaming and esports, where top esports organizations will compete in a cross-game structure for the largest prize pool in esports history. So far, announced games include Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, Honor of Kings, Fortnite, Rainbow Six Siege, and more.
