The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) has just received its latest expansion, Necrom. The chapter rolled out across PC on June 5, and has just arrived on PlayStation and Xbox consoles as of June 20, 2023. Necrom marks the latest in a long line of expansions for Bethesda and ZeniMax's MMORPG, introducing new areas, enemies and a brand new class — the Arcanist.
The chapter drops players into two new regions, the Telvanni Peninsula and the Daedric realm of Apocrypha, home to Hermaeus Mora. The two areas, and Apocrypha in particular, are a sight to behold. Players will encounter all sorts of challenges throughout this new adventure.
Dedicated ESO fans will be aware of the game's premium subscription, ESO Plus. Aside from in-game benefits such as the Crafting Bag, players also gain access to the game's many DLCs at no additional cost. Regular players would need to purchase these additional DLC chapters separately.
So now that the Necrom chapter is out in the wild, many are wondering: Is ESO Necrom included in ESO Plus?
Is The Necrom DLC Included In ESO Plus?
Unfortunately, no. The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom DLC is not included as part of the ESO Plus subscription. But this isn't unsurprising. ESO's newest chapter as never been included as part of the ESO Plus subscription — the same was true when High Isle launched. The latest chapters will usually find their way to the subscription service once a newer chapter has launched.
As it stands, don't expect to see Necrom included in ESO Plus for some time. For now, players will need to purchase the chapter separately. This can be done by purchasing the full game and package outright, through the Necrom Standard Edition or Necrom Deluxe Collection, or by purchasing the Necrom Upgrade.
The Deluxe Collection: Necrom includes the Necrom Chapter and Deluxe items, and instant access to the base game and all previous six Chapters:
- Necrom (New for 2023)
- High Isle
- Blackwood
- Greymoor
- Elsweyr
- Summerset
- Morrowind
- Base game
When Will Necrom Be Available In ESO Plus?
While there's currently no date for when Necrom will become available in ESO Plus, players can expect it to join the service once a new chapter is released. Taking previous chapter High Isle as an example, the DLC launched back in June 2022. Now that Necrom is live in-game, High Isle has been made available as of June 2023.
Should Bethesda and ZeniMax stick to a yearly release schedule for new expansions, players could likely expect the Necrom chapter to be added to ESO Plus next June.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom is available now on PC, Mac iOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S
