It looks like all the hype has been well warranted to this point in The Lands Between as Elden Ring is off to a roaring start. The latest iteration of the Soulsborne titles allows for a wide variety of gameplay with players having ten different starting classes to select from as their experience begins.
Featuring a giant open-world map, this RPG is absolutely packed with difficult challenges, boss fights, and much more. There are many important points of interest and items you'll want to acquire as you progress the title, and some will be necessary for later game purposes.
One of the tasks you'll want to complete early on is finding map fragments to view access to more areas. Check out this detailed guide highlighting all the Elden Ring map fragment locations in Limgrave.
Map fragment locations in Limgrave - Elden Ring
Finding map fragments is a key facet to progressing Elden Ring, as they allow players to access the entire map and view locations. Each major region has a map fragment, so players will piece together the puzzle as they collect more fragments.
Map fragments are found at the base of Obelisks and are usually guarded by enemies ready to fight. Though it is possible to retrieve the fragments using more stealth and less combat as well.
West Limgrave Map Fragment location
The first map fragment is easy to find as it's very close in proximity to the starting point for Elden Ring. Northwest of where the game starts, look for the Gatefront Ruins and continue through for the map fragment.
Next to the main path running through the area, the map fragment is located at the base of the obelisk. Enemy guards are patrolling the immediate map fragment area, so get ready to kill and get out of dodge.
It's easiest to enter from the North and quickly take out the enemy on the left with a dagger, then sprinting and grabbing the map fragment. Here's a visual map location of where to go for this fragment.
East Limgrave Map Fragment location
To find the East Limgrave map fragment, players must first head to the Mistwood Forest. When nearing the forest, look for the Mistwood Ruins on your map, the map fragment will be Northeast of this location on a side road.
A giant bear will be near the obelisk, but it doesn't particularly look for a fight. Just keep your distance while you investigate the obelisk to unlock the map fragment and there shouldn't be a problem.
There is also a Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook which players can loot from the corpse next to the bear, though this is a bit riskier. Here's a visual map location of where to go for this fragment.
