The Lands Between is brimming with a wide variety of weapons, scaling with multiple stats, and can be used by many classes and featured in plenty of builds. While the Faith/Holy builds may be less widely utilized in-game, it does possess a massive arsenal of weapons that can be further enhanced with talismans.
The Blasphemous Blade is an extremely powerful weapon to feature in-game; however, how to get this weapon can take a lot of work to accomplish. Therefore, we’ve explained in this guide how to find the Faith-scaling weapon, the Blasphemous Blade, in Elden Ring.
How To Find Blasphemous Blade In Elden Ring?
The Blasphemous Blade is a greatsword in The Lands Between and is a worthy weapon of choice for Strength and Faith/Holy builds. This weapon scales with Strength, Faith, and Dexterity and requires 22 Strength, 21 Faith, and 15 Dexterity.
Acquiring this weapon will be challenging for many players, as you’ll need to defeat a Shardbearer, Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy. Facing this optional boss is a two-stage battle, as you will first encounter the God-Devouring Serpent before facing Rykard.
This battle can be accessed by progressing the Volcano Manor questline and eliminating every contract; you can access the boss battle by finding the Audience Pathway Site of Grace at Mt. Gelmir. Before facing Rykard, ensure you bring enough healing, arrange your Flasks and pick up the Serpent Hunter weapon before stepping into the battle arena.
Should you die during this battle, you will face the God-Devouring Serpent and Rykard again until he’s defeated. You’ll gain 130,000 Runes, Rykard’s Great Rune, and the Remembrance of the Blasphemous, which the latter can be duplicated at any of the Walking Mausoleums.
As you’ll need the Blasphemous Blade, take the Remembrance, travel to the Roundtable Hold, and locate Finger Reader Enia in the room with the Two Fingers. Trade the remembrance for either Rykard’s Rancor or the Blasphemous Blade; choosing the latter earns you the weapon.
The Blasphemous Blade has a Weapon Skill, Taker’s Flames, costing 30 FP to cast as it deals stance and pure Fire Damage to enemies. Additionally, it will heal the wielder 10% of its max HP and 150 HP upon strike as the blade is engulfed in fire.
This weapon is paired well with the Mimic TearSpirit Ashes as the duplicate will also wield the weapon, but moreover, the Spirit Ash will gain the Weapon Skill’s healing effects. However, Ashes of War cannot be applied to this weapon or enchanted with Incantations but can be upgraded using Somber Smithing Stones.
