EA FC 24 Promo Calendar: Next Ultimate Team Events Schedule

EA Sports might be changing the name of the game from FIFA to EA Sports FC, but the variety of in-game Ultimate Team promos and events are unlikely to change all that much. For those who don't know, an Ultimate Team promo is a time-limited event that normally features special items and rewards for players to earn. Some come in packs, others are obtainable through SBC's and objectives. Over the course of several months, EA Sports releases plenty of these events to keep the community engaged in Ultimate Team. But what do we know about the calendar of events for EA FC 24? Read on and we'll try to break it all down for you.

EA Sports FC 24 Promo Schedule

EA Sports never confirms an exact schedule for their promos, but typically they return at the same time every year, potentially with small tweaks to how they work to keep things fresh and original. Based on what we know about the game, below you will find a calendar of promos and events we expect to see return in EA Sports FC 24.

We want to give you a little bit of info about all the potential promos and events you could see released in EA FC 24. So read on for everything you need to know about the release calendar for the game's scheduled events and promos.

Mad Ready

Confirmed Release Date: 22 September 2023

What is it:  A brand new event for EA Sports FC 24. Here's what we know thanks to EA Sports' most recent Patch Notes (AKA Pitch Notes). 

"Unlike traditional post-launch Ultimate Team Campaigns, Nike Mad Ready is focussed on completing unique Objectives to get special rewards by using Mad Ready Players. The Objectives and rewards have been tailor-made to help you get in the best shape for the upcoming year ahead.  

"Five Nike Mad Ready Players will receive cosmetically upgraded versions with the same Attributes as their base versions. Mad Ready Players will be available in the Ultimate Team pool of pack items from 22 September, 6pm BST until 29 September 5:59 BST. A loan version of one of the Player Items  is available as part of your pre-order content, and in addition to Objective rewards."

The first ever Early Access Ultimate Team Campaign lands on Sept 22.

Road to the Knockouts

Confirmed Release Date: 29 September 2023

What is it:  Road to the Knockouts, or RTTK as it is often abbreviated, celebrates the start of the Uefa Champions League, Europa League and Conference League group stages. Usually, players will see the release of dynamic items and upgraded UT cards based on teams' and players' performances.

Ones to Watch

Predicted Release Date: 13 October 2023

What is it: A promo that celebrates the signings of the summer. The Ultimate Team players have dynamic items that have the potential to upgrade based on their real-world performances.

NOTE: This Promo may have been renamed as 'Trailblazers' which begins 13 October 2023.

Rulebreakers

Predicted Release Date: 20 October 2023

What is it:  This event was first released in FIFA 21, and typically offers two teams of special player items, with various stat updates (including downgrades and upgrades) which flip the cards on their head.

Out of Position

Predicted Release Date: 27 October 2023

What is it:  Out Of Position brings position changes and attribute boosts for some of football’s most versatile players, unlocking new squad-building options for you. For instance, a ST Mo Salah, or a CAM Ivan Perisic.

Black Friday

Predicted Release Date: 24 November 2023

What is it:  This incredibly short promo normally takes place over a weekend with various time-limited content including Squad Building Challenges, Objectives, and more. Not to mention, massive discounts on a variety of player packs.

TOTGS

Predicted Release Date: 01 December 2023

What is it:  This one is pretty simple and it celebrates the stars of European nights, paying special attention to the best players from the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Europa Conference League Group Stages. The Team of the Group Stage promo will usually recognise the best players across European competitions with special ratings reflecting their outstanding performances, and even bigger upgrades than the traditional one level upgrade for select players.

Winter Wildcards

Predicted Release Date: 15 December 2023

What is it:  The annual Christmas event for EA Sports' favourite football game.

"Celebrate the gift of football with two teams of Winter Wildcards Player Items that bring festive flair to your Ultimate Team squad. Winter Wildcard Player Items receive a variety of permanent boosts inspired by past, present, or potential future FUT Campaign upgrades."

Team of the Year

Predicted Release Date: 19 January 2024

What is it:  Following an incredible 12 months of football, EA Sports will shortlist The World’s Best 100 footballers from across The World’s Game. They then hand it over to you (the players) to help to decide the final XI. It'll be interesting to see how EA approaches Team of the Year with the introduction of female players in EA FC 24.

Headliners

Predicted Release Date: 29 January 2024

What is it:  Headliners are special dynamic items that are permanently upgraded and have the potential for further upgrades based upon individual and team performances in the remainder of the season. Usually, the players selected for the Headliners promo are those whose performances so far this season have got the world talking.

Future Stars

Predicted Release Date: 02 February 2024

What is it:  "Future Stars is the yearly celebration of the wonderkids poised to take The World’s Game by storm. Former Future Stars have gone on to win league titles, team of the season honours, and even hoist international trophies, so each Special Player Item represents a footballer’s induction into an elite class of the brightest prospects in the game. Every upgrade represents what each Future Star could become, with upgrades that showcase them at their full potential."

Road To The Final

Predicted Release Date: 16 February 2024

What is it:  Road to the Final is more or less the same as the RTTK event from earlier in the year, however, in the case of Road to the Final, player items usually receive upgrades if their teams win or advance to the next stage of their competitions.

FUT Birthday

Predicted Release Date: 08 March 2024

What is it:  Another simple one really. This promo is intended to celebrate the creation of Ultimate Team. Normally this includes a variety of special items with boosted ratings and weak foot/skills changes. Typically two ultimate team squads are released, but there's also swaps, objectives, and daily SBCs to look forward too as well.

Team of the Season

Predicted Release Date: 03 May 2024

What is it:  The ultimate end-of-year promo. A celebration of the season, honoring record-breakers to breakout stars from all of the domestic leagues featured in the game. Usually, we see a new Team of the Season for each league, followed by an Ultimate Team of the Season that spans every domestic league. 

Path to Glory

Predicted Release Date: 31 May 2024

What is it:  The Path to Glory event normally ties into bigger national team competitions. With FIFA 23, Path to Glory player items levelled up with each step that their country took towards the trophy. Naturally, with the 2024 European Championships taking place, we can expect Path to Glory to return for EA FC in a similar format.

Shapeshifters

Predicted Release Date: 14 June 2024

What is it:  "Peek into an alternate FUT universe where household names are known for completely new abilities on the pitch. Shapeshifters transform footballers into brand new superstars with different skills, abilities, playing styles, and even positions to unlock fresh squad-building possibilities."

For instance, does anyone fancy a 98 rated CDM Virgil Van Dijk card? What about a 96 rated ST Antonio Rudiger?

FUTTIES

Predicted Release Date: 12 July 2024

What is it:  The FUTTIES Promo is a way for the game to celebrate the the season gone by and the summer ahead. Typically FUTTIES is a means to reintroduce some of the best content from the past year, including SBCs, objectives, and several batches of re-released Player Items that proved popular.

Pre-Season

Predicted Predicted Release Date: 16 August 2024

What is it:  The Pre-Season event is typically the last event of the game before the next entry in the series kicks into gear. Typically we see various squad building challenges and objectives you can complete for rewards you can earn in the next game.
