EA Sports FC 2024 Release Date Window
At the time of writing, there is no official confirmed release date for EA Sports FC 2024, but in this article, you’ll find all (if any) information that the developer shared, as well as some speculation from Ginx on when we could see it launch.
Although they occasionally appear in October, EA typically releases its football games in September, and we don't imagine the company would want to move out of that prime slot in the season. Based on that, we predict that the release date of EA Sports FC will be sometime in September 2023.
EA Sports FC 2024 - Platforms
EA Sports FC will likely be released wherever FIFA is currently available. This means that it will most likely be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. We also anticipate that PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch fans will be able to participate in some way.
However, it should be noted that FIFA on the Switch typically doesn't receive the same gameplay updates as FIFA on larger consoles. On Switch, it will be interesting to see if EA Sports FC follows the same tradition of having different versions of the game for the smaller and larger consoles.
EA Sports FC 2024 - Gameplay
During a recent EA Sports blog, the company said: "Everything you love about our games will be part of EA Sports FC – the same great experiences, modes, leagues, tournaments, clubs, and athletes will be there. Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Pro Clubs, and VOLTA Football will all be there.
"Our unique licensing portfolio of more than 19,000+ players, 700+ teams, 100+ stadiums and 30 leagues that we’ve continued to invest in for decades will still be there, uniquely in EA Sports FC. That includes exclusive partnerships with the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, the MLS – and more to come."
But this leaves many fans asking what exactly will be new in EA Sports FC. What will this game offer that FIFA cant provide, and what gives players the push to delve into a new IP? Well, according to EA's own Andrew Wilson: "It was really about how can we do more for the players, more for the fans, how can we offer them more modalities to play. How can we bring more partners into the game, how can we expand beyond the bounds of the traditional game."
Jackson then added: "At the moment, we engage in play as a primary form of interactive experience. Soon, watching and creating content are going to be equally as important for fans.
"Under the licensing conventions that we had agreed with FIFA 10 years ago, there were some restrictions that weren't going to allow us to be able to build those experiences for players."
So it appears that content creation and consumption will be a key focus for the future of EA Sports FC and while we don't know exactly what this will entail, it does get us thinking about some interesting possibilities. So be sure to check back here soon for more news on the game as we get closer to its release.
