While some players on lower difficulties may overlook it early on, eventually everyone will need to know how to heal in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Health potions aren't too difficult to find, but you have to know what to look for. Before you go drinking those en masse, we'll go over some tips on how to heal in Veilguard.
How to Heal in Veilguard
Once you've gotten into a few combat scenarios, even skilled players will eventually take damage. As you see your health bar depleting, it's fortunately very simple to use a healing potion. Press the D-Pad Right to consume one, and you can see this prompt reminder by your health bar. If you ever need an overall refresher, check our complete Dragon Age: The Veilguard controls guide.
The number beside your health bar indicates how many healing potions you have at one time. You can't carry an infinite amount, so you'll need to always be on the look out for potions while exploring in Veilguard.
As you navigate each area, particularly before and after a fight, look for a green vase. These large green pots will retain that same look, and you need only swing at them with any attack or dodge in their direction to cause one to shatter. A health potion will land on the ground nearby, just take a look around the bits of debris to make sure you've collected it.
Generally, you don't want to automatically break every single green vase you spot on sight. You also might not wanna use your potions until your health is lower, as this will make the most of that healing.
If you've taken a small amount of damage and have the maximum amount of health potions, wait until you see another green vase. Heal before destroying the vase so that you'll boost your health back up and won't lose the potion because you're at the maximum.
You'll discover additional methods later on, such as Bellara's special ability to instantly replenish your health, but getting used to finding each green vase in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is where every player needs to start.
