Following their historic win at The International 2019, OG’s Anathan “ana” Pham and Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen went on hiatus - raising questions about the roster’s future.
In a post from OG’s Twitter account, it’s now been confirmed carry player ana is extending his break from the team - stating he’ll return for the next Dota 2 Pro Circuit season.
It’s a decision which may concern those hoping for a third OG win at The International 2020, although we’ll have to see who is lined-up as a replacement.
Our carry player and Io god @anadota99 will extend his break and come back for the next season.

Ana has had numerous breaks from Dota in the past, most notably after The International 2017 before he returned prior to The International 2018. He took another break following that year too, where he was replaced by numerous other carry players.
Topson confirmed he’ll be returning for the current season in an Instagram post earlier this month, writing: “TI10 I’m coming for you.”
Since The International last year, OG have taken a step back generally from competitive Dota - investing time in new sister team OG Seed.
OG will make their return in the open qualifiers of the ESL One Los Angeles Major on 20th March.
The current active OG roster is below:
- Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen
- Sebastien “Ceb” Debs
- Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka
- Johan “N0tail” Sundstein
The next season of Dota 2 begins after The International 2020, taking place in Stockholm, Sweden from 18-23rd August.
