Dota 2 Phantom Assassin Persona - How To Unlock, Models, Animations & Effects

Valve has finally unveiled the new Hero Persona for Phantom Assassin. Entitled "Exile Unveiled" and boasting a complete character and model rework, the new Persona will be available to all owners of the Dota 2 Battle Pass 2022 once they reach Level 296.

This latest content addition follows the release of the highly anticipated Faceless Void "Claszian Apostasy" Arcana skin and comprises one of the many new cosmetic rewards available in the TI11 Battle Pass. Dota 2 - How to unlock Phantom Assassin Persona

To unlock the Phantom Assassin "Exile Unveiled" Persona, you'll need to buy the 2022 Dota 2 Battle Pass and upgrade it to Level 296. Players can do this organically by playing matches, Cavern Crawl, or competing in Queekly Quests. Otherwise, Dota Battle Pass owners can purchase Battle Points using real money.

According to the Dota 2 blog post published on 15th September 2022, the new Phantom Assassin Persona features "an all-new model, animations, ability effects, and voice performance to fully realize his deadly destiny in the midst of battle." Hunted from birth, a figure who has lived in shadow [and] chooses to hide no longer has finally arrived in Dota 2.

The official Persona's description reads: "Hunted by the Sisters of the Veil from birth, a figure who has lived in shadow chooses to hide no longer. Witness as an unveiled assassin risks everything to satisfy his prime directive — to strike at an ancient order of killers whose own machinations have all but guaranteed the arrival of this bloody, prophesied day."

Exile Unveiled Persona Model, Animations & Effects

The Exile Unveiled Persona Model for Phantom Assassin in Dota 2 features a completely new character (called "Asan") and a total model overhaul. Among the many changes are all-new animations "destined [...] to end the false prophet's ruinous reign."

In addition, the Exile Unveiled Persona for Phantom Assassin features several new voice lines to allow Asan's voice to be heard. There are also new custom hero assets, including a new Hero Portrait and Topbar Portrait image, Minimap icon, and Ability Icons.

Likewise, Phantom Assasin's abilities Stifling Dagger, Phantom Strike, Blur, Fan of Knives, and Coup de Grace, receive all-new effects, too. You can check out some of the effects and animations in the video below (thanks, Valve).
