London-based esports organization Tundra Esports announced that Kurtis "Aui_2000" Ling, head coach of the organization's Dota 2 roster, has extended his contract with the team through 2023. Aui_2000 joined Tundra Esports in 2021 and led the team to victory at The International (TI) 2022, securing an $8.5m share of the $18.9m prize pool and becoming the only professional player in history to win TI as both a player and a coach.

In a statement, Aui_2000 said he was "thrilled" to extend his contract with Tundra Esports and hoped to continue building the team's mentality and work ethic in 2023. "It's been one of the best journeys of my life watching the players grow and come together into a TI winning squad," he said. "I'm incredibly proud and hopeful looking towards the future."

The Tundra Esports roster includes Oliver ‘Skiter’ Lepko, Leon ‘Nine’ Kirilin, Neta ‘33’ Shapira, Martin ‘Saksa’ Sazdov, and Wu ‘Sneyking’ Jingjun. The team's victory at TI 2022 marked the first win for a UK-based esports team at the annual tournament.

Tundra Esports CEO John Doe said he was "delighted" to see Aui_2000 extend his contract with the organization. "His leadership and coaching have been instrumental in our team's success, and we're excited to see what the future holds for Tundra Esports under his guidance," Doe said. With Aui_2000 at the helm, Tundra Esports will be looking to repeat its success at The International in 2023 and cement its place as one of the top Dota 2 teams in the world.

In addition to his work as head coach for Tundra Esports, Aui_2000 has also had a successful career as a professional player. He won TI as a player in 2015 with Evil Geniuses and previously competed for teams such as Digital Chaos and Team NP. Aui_2000 is known for his expertise in the offlane role and has a reputation for his innovative playstyle.
