Diablo Immortal Marketplace - Buying and Selling Items

The Marketplace is the only way to trade in Diablo Immortal. Here is a quick guide to help you in buying and selling items.
Diablo Immortal Marketplace - Buying and Selling Items

The Marketplace is a crucial feature in Diablo Immortal. It is the sole trading system in the game which can help players transfer items to others. In fact, the transfer between characters also makes use of the Marketplace.

The Marketplace uses Platinum as its principal currency to buy and sell items. While it looks simple, players need to keep some dos and don'ts in mind. For example, with the launch of Diablo Immortal on PC, new players may not understand the game's basic mechanics.

This guide is aimed at helping new players understand the Diablo Immortal Marketplace better.

The Marketplace is an essential place in Diablo Immortal, connecting the entire trading network. It is located in Rakkis Plaza in the city of Westmarch. Players must find and talk to Dya in Rakkis Plaza to open the Market user interface.

Buying and selling items use Platinum, which you can purchase with real money from the in-game store. You can learn more about Platinum and its uses in our comprehensive guide. Apart from Platinum, players will require Gold to use as a fee to post items.

All listed items expire after two days, and each item has its recommended minimum and maximum amount of Platinum. Players can’t sell items below or above the mentioned price. Likewise, not all items can be traded, namely, weapons, armor, and jewelry.

Players can trade some secondary items and their related materials. We've listed a few tradeable items below:

  • Normal Gems up to Rank 5

  • Legendary Gems of different ranks and stars

  • Runes which you can use for crafting Legendary Gems

  • Skill Stones used for crafting Charms

Buying items from the Diablo Immortal Marketplace might sound like an effortless task, but players need to be cautious of their moves. Items offered here are not of equal quality. Gems and Runes are interchangeable commodities, but Legendary Gems and Skill Stones can vary in quality, rank, and functionality for players' character.

Players can also use the Watchlist feature, which helps keep track of items they don’t want to buy at present. They will also get a notification three minutes before the item expires, making it a convenient feature.

Unlike buying items in the Diablo Immortal Marketplace, selling them is straightforward. Players can sell items by selecting them from the window and then listing them for the preferred amount of Platinum. Listing stackable items like Gems and Runes in bulk can also save players time.

It is best to sell the Legendary Gems, which you don’t require for your characters. Then, you can use the extra Platinum from the sale to buy relevant Gems. Although it is tempting to keep selling unnecessary Gems, keep leftover Legendary Gems to sacrifice and upgrade the ones you’re using.

Similarly, don’t deplete the Skill Stones because you can use them in crafting Charms. It is always good to check your class guide to understand which Gems and Stones are required. Selling top-tier Legendary Gems is also a big mistake; instead, keep upgrading them.
