Spiritborn is "Over-Played" So Blizzard is Buffing All Diablo 4 Classes

Instead of nerfing the Spiritborn to the ground, Blizzard is adjusting other Diablo 4 classes with buffs in the mid-season update.

With Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred, Blizzard unleashed the Spiritborn class upon Sanctuary and even the deadliest champions of the Burning Hells, and the Lord of Hatred himself quivered in fear. Yes, the Spiritborn is a bit overpowered, but we've got some good news to share!

Blizzard has confirmed that they are buffing all classes in the mid-season update for Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred Season 6, coming in the week of 18 November 2024. The good news for Spiritborn players is that the developers won't nerf the class in Season 6 but, instead, will fix "unintended interactions" and make balance changes in Season 7.

Furthermore, the developers noted that the Spiritborn class is currently being "over-played" compared to other classes. That does make sense, as it is the new class after all, but it's insane power level doesn't hurt either. In fact, 62% of Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred players have used the Spiritborn class.

At the time of writing, all the precise balance changes for each class are unknown, but we know they will definitely be buffs. Thanks to some quick summarization work from WoWHead, there are a few bits and pieces of buffs to all Diablo 4 classes for you to check out below.

  • Barbarian: Core Skills are receiving buffs and underperforming Uniques and Legendaries will also be receiving buffs.
  • Druid: All Key Passives will be receiving buffs. Druids also get Unique and Legendary buffs.
  • Necromancer: Basic Skills will get buffs as well as buffs to some class Uniques.
  • Sorcerer: The Combustion and Avalanche Key Passives get buffs, as well as some legendary Aspects.
  • Rogue: Buffs to Key Passives and Core Skills.

Even the Spiritborn will get some buffs, but just to underused Skills. The full balance changes for the Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred Season 6 mid-season update will be revealed on Friday, 15 November 2024, and the update itself will be released in the week of 18 November.
