What Is Paletongue in Diablo 4? Crafting Uses

Paletongue is a crafting material of Magic quality in Diablo 4. It has the following in-game description:

The lies spouted by particularly black-hearted humans rarely manifest in turning their tongues a milky white.

The in-game description points towards humanoid enemies dropping Paletongue. It can be used at the Alchemist to upgrade your healing Vial at Level 60 to "Strong Healing Potion" alongside other resources.

Furthermore, Paletongue is used to craft a variety of excellent Elixirs, which we use quite a lot during Nightmare Dungeon runs currently, as they provide awesome 30-minute buffs and a 5% XP increase. Check out the list of Elixirs that require Paletongue to craft below:

Yes, you'll definitely want to farm as much Paletongue as possible, especially to use during the endgame grind to level 100! 

How To Quick Get More/Farm Paletongue

Any large-size groups of humanoid enemies will do for farming Paletongue quickly. However, the route we like to use is the closest one to Kyovashad, Diablo 4's central town hub in Fractured Peaks. 

On your mount, the Frozen Cellar is just moments away (as per the image above), making it a quick and easy Cellar clear with some Paletongue drops. The Dobrev Tiaga zone in the South of Fractured Peaks is also a good one to farm. Just move right of the waypoint to the tunnels, where you will find a tonne of bandits to farm.

Lastly, we suggest taking on some rare, special elites, the humanoid ones. In our experience, the Trembling Mass elite is one of the best to farm, as it always provides at least 5 Paletongue when killed. Check out our guide to kill the Trembling Mass with ease.

Using these three areas, you should be bathing (ewww!) in Paletongue soon enough. Remember to farm Paletongue on World Tier 3 for a great drop rate!
