Diablo 4 Lidless Wall Unique Shield: How To Get & Stats

In many strong Diablo 4 Season 4 Necromancer builds, including minion variants and especially Shadow Minions, Bone Storm is an important skill to consider using. That's why the Diablo 4 Lidless Wall Unique shield is, in our opinion, a fantastic offhand in the game right now. if you are lucky enough to get a drop!

In this guide, we explain how you can get the Lidless Wall Unique shield to drop in Diablo 4 for your Necromancer, alongside its affixes and effects that make this such a powerful piece of equipment.

How To Get Lidless Wall Drop in Diablo 4

First, just a small bit of lore text to get the blood flowing and take the urge to get a Lidless Wall drop in Diablo 4 to the next level:

"Initially an unpopular choice to replace Mendeln as Deathspeaker, Daros quickly proved his worth with the creation of this masterpiece."

With the lore out of the way, Lidless Wall is a rare Unique drop, which you can get in World Tier 4 difficulty. There's a small chance to get it from Nightmare Dungeons, Helltides, and other endgame activities such as The Pit. Further, enemies of the Knight and Skeleton variety have a bit of a higher chance to drop shields, so keep this in mind.

The best way to get a Lidless Wall drop in Diablo 4, however, is to farm Lord Zir, one of the endgame bosses. To summon Lord Zir, you must gather nine (9) Exquisite Blood from killing World Bosses and completing Legion events. If you want to face Lord Zir again, you will need to complete the process, as the Exquisite Blood summoning materials are consumed on use. Keep all the Exquisite Blood you find to slay this endgame boss over and over again.

Pro tip:You can increase your chances of getting Lidless Wall to drop by greatly boosting the rewards received from Lord Zir if you are able to kill its Uber level 200, Tormented Echoes version.

Lidless Wall only drops in World Tier 4 difficulty, so don't waste your summoning material on Lord Zir in World Tier 3 (Nightmare). The drop chance for this item is still low, but at least it is not minuscule! This shield only drops for Necromancers, as it is a class-specific Unique item.

Diablo 4 Lidless Wall Shield Affixes & Effect

The Lidless Wall shield will always roll with the following affixes, with specific values depending on how lucky you are with the item roll.

• +Thorns
• +Maximum Life
• +% Attack Speed
• Lucky Hit: Up to a 5% Chance to Restore +[1.0 - 14.0]% Primary Resource
• +Maximum Essence

The biggest draw, however, is in the Lidless Wall's powerful and unique effect that procs on Lucky Hit. Keep in mind that Necromancers with Infimist or Xfal-based builds stack Lucky Hit to over 50%.

"While you have an active Bone Storm, hitting an enemy outside of a Bone Storm has up to a [5 - 25]% chance to spawn an additional Bone Storm at their location. Each of your active Sacrifice bonuses increases the chance by 25% and the total additional Bone Storms you can have by +1."

You can effectively keep Bone Storm up 100% of the time with the correct build and this powerful Unique Necromancer shield!
