Who Won The World First Diablo 4 Level 100 Race?

Below, we'll be taking a detailed look at who won the world's first race to reach level 100 in Diablo 4 and how it was done.
Who Won The World First Diablo 4 Level 100 Race?

Diablo 4 was released in early access just a few days ago (with an official launch set for June 6th); players immediately began racing toward the level 100 cap. Impressively, it didn't take long for someone to reach this goal and hit the level cap. If you're looking to know more about the player who achieved this incredible milestone and how it happened, then keep reading. Below we'll take a look at who won the world's first Diablo 4 level 100 race and the details surrounding it.

Who Won The World First Diablo 4 Level 100 Race?

Streamer Rob2628 was the first player in the world to reach the maximum level of 100 in Diablo 4 on normal difficulty, with four more players also achieving this feat since then. Rob2628 accomplished this by using a powerful Barbarian build focused on shout and whirlwind abilities, and he had a group of friends who helped him repeatedly run the XP-rich Champion's Demise dungeon using an exploit that reset the levels

It took Rob2628 approximately 54 hours to complete his quest, but his progress was partially affected by a sneaky hotfix from Blizzard that weakened his preferred Barbarian build. Following Rob2628's achievement, competitors Draelin, rengar666, KlapopjeKOP, and Willemh quickly joined the ranks of level 100 players.

Additionally, nine more players are already in the 90s, but it's worth noting that all of this pertains to the race on Diablo 4's normal mode, which Diablo Builds labels as "Softcore." The race for the first Hardcore mode level 100 is still ongoing.

Participants need to level up not only quickly but also cautiously, as death is permanent in Hardcore mode. Already, we've seen Team Liquid owner Maximum, and Path of Exile/WoW streamer Imexile have their runs cut short due to glitches.

Currently, Diablo/PoE streamer wudijo leads the Hardcore race at level 87, with PoE streamer ben_ trailing behind at level 85. Although it may appear to be a small gap, the experience point requirements increase exponentially with each level in Diablo 4. Furthermore, the risky and unpredictable nature of Hardcore means that any participant still has a chance to win.

For now, be sure to check the socials below to follow the level cap races in Diablo 4, and of course, congratulations to Rob2628 and others for reaching the Softcore level cap first. (Picture: Blizzard)

So while we're still waiting on the verdict for who will reach the level 100 cap in Hardcore mode, and get their name on Blizzard's statue of Lilith, we extend our congratulations and admiration to streamer Rob2628 for reaching the level cap in Diablo 4.
