In Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred Season 7, releasing in mid-January 2025, we'll see a tonne of content, including Witchcraft powers for players to unlock. However, arguably even more exciting than the seasonal theme is the release of one of the most sought-after features since Diablo 4 launched back in June 2023. Yes, an Armory system is coming to Diablo 4!

Take a seat, Nephalem, and learn everything we know so far about the Diablo 4 Armory system, which will allow you to create loadouts for your characters.

Please note: The information in this article comes from the PTR for Diablo 4 Patch 2.1 (Season 7 update), and as such, details might change depending on the feedback Blizzard receives.

Diablo 4 Armory System First Details

First off, if you do not own the Vessel of Hatred expansion, don't worry; the Armory system will be available for everyone who plays Diablo 4 on the Eternal Realm and the Seasonal Realm. The Armory System will be released at the start of Season 7 as a gameplay feature addition in patch 2.1.

With the Armory System, players will be able to create loadouts and "effortlessly swap" between builds in town. You can check out some official facts about the Armory System in Diablo 4 outlined below.

  • The Armory gives you the option to Save, Load, and Name your favorite builds.
  • Armory Loadout slots are Character bound: 5 Loadout slots per character.
  • At a glance from your Loadout, you’ll be able to view the Equipment, Skills, selected Paragon Nodes and Glyphs that make up your saved build. Note: changing between Loadout slots with differing Paragon loadouts does not cost Gold.
  • Start by selecting an empty slot and save your build to begin.
  • Saving your loadout will capture the following: Equipped Items, Paragon Board and Glyphs, Skill Selections, and Class mechanic.
  • If an item saved in your armory loadout is no longer available—whether from selling, trading, or salvaging—an icon will indicate the item is missing on the Loadout preview.

Diablo 4 players will be able to access the Armory and swap through builds with ease when they are in a city hub. This includes all regional cities and end-game areas, including Training Grounds in Kyovashad, the Tree of Whispers (which is growing in Season 7, just FYI), and the Citadel.

Well done, Blizzard, well done! For those who run endgame content and really love to test out new builds, the Armory is absolutely a perfect addition. I can't wait to use it!
