The 2022 Destiny 2 Guardian Games are here to close out Season of the Risen, bringing plenty of content for players to grind and enjoy as they help their classes earn the win this time.
The big appeal, like always, is the weapons players can obtain from the Guardian Games. There are new ones, like The Title SMG, which boasts a unique Origin Trait, but there are also reissued ones, like the Heir Apparent Exotic Machine Gun.
The weapon's been a part of Destiny 2 for a long time, however, getting it is only limited to whenever Guardian Games are around, roughly three weeks each year. If you don't want to miss out on getting this time, our guide to complete the Top of Class quest should guide you through everything you need to know about Heir Apparent.
How to complete Top of Class quest in Destiny 2
First off, you need to know that in order to get the Top of Class quest you need to complete the Best in Class one, which is essentially an introductory series of steps to how the 2022 Guardian Games work.
- How to get The Title SMG in Destiny 2
- All Destiny 2 Season 17 Exotic weapon changes
- Destiny 2 Season 17 sandbox changes - Desperado nerfs, Lion Rampant buffs, more
- Destiny 2 Guardian Games Cup - Schedule, Format, Players, more
Eva Levante will hand you the new quest once you've finished the previous one. With that out of the way, let's get to the super simple tasks you need to finish to complete Top of Class.
Earn 50 Laurels
We have a complete and detailed guide to earning Laurels during the Guardian Games but the basic gist of it is that you need to get kills with your class abilities, whether that's your grenade or melee.
Any enemies killed by your abilities will drop Laurels, so getting 50 will be a breeze.
Defeat 100 combatants in the Daily Focus playlist
The Daily Focus playlist is, as the name implies, on a daily rotation. You can check which playlist is available each day by heading to the directory, it'll be marked with the Guardian Games symbol. Alternatively, open the left tab to see it.
The Daily Focus can be Crucible, which could make your life harder when trying to complete this quest despite kills awarding bonus points, so be sure to check constantly which playlist is highlighted.
Once you've gotten your 100 kills, the Heir Apparent Exotic Machine Gun will be yours to collect.
