It's time for Destiny 2's annual summer event Solstice, which, like every year, brings new event challenges, bounties, weapons, armor, and more for you to pursue.
Last year's event introduced the Event Card system, which makes a return as the base for everything Solstice. Bonfire Bash is still the event's primary activity though Bungie has tweaked the enemy density and overall difficulty of the event as well as added two new buffs.
The new Solstice armor looks scorchingly beautiful, and there's also a new Strand Rocket Launcher (a first of its kind) to go with it. Pretty sweet, right? If you plan to play through Solstice for all the new rewards or just for the sake of everyone's favorite grandma Eva Levante, we have compiled every minute detail about this event here.

Destiny 2 Solstice 2023 Changes
As mentioned above, Bungie is tweaking the overall difficulty of the Bonfire Bash activity. Lightning a bonfire is more challenging this time around.
Thankfully, Bungie is also adding two new Buffs to even things out. These are:
Firebound (only available in Bonfire Bash)
- When close to a fireteam member, gain increased Recovery and Super regeneration.
Flare (available in Bonfire Bash and Vanguard Ops Playlist)
- Rapidly defeat combatants to unleash waves of paracausal fire around you, dealing damage to nearby combatants.
Destiny 2 Solstice 2023 Armor
The Solstice 2023 armor looks fantastic. Goth summer may or may not have been a thing before, but it's definitely going to be now.
Solstice armor sets have always stood out among the ones from other annual events, not just for their striking designs but also for their flexible rollouts. For instance, if you want an armor piece with 100 Recovery for a certain build, you can actually re-roll to get that in Solstice.
Destiny 2 Solstice 2023 Weapon
The Solstice 2023 weapon is the first ever Strand Rocket Launcher called Crowning Duologue. It comes with a Precision Frame, which means it can fire small auto-tracking missiles.
