Destiny 2 The Witch Queen has finally been given an exact release date, launching on 22nd February for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
Announced during the Destiny 2 showcase, the expansion originally scheduled for a late 2021 release was delayed, with fans waiting and anticipating a new confirmed date.
The expansion will feature a plethora of new content, including a brand-new location, Savathun's throne room, akin to The Taken King's Dreadnaught, as well as new weapon archetypes, and a storyline that promises to be the most intense in Destiny's history.

Showcased in the reveal trailer, the Glaive is a new weapon archetype that will serve as an introduction to a new system that will be implemented with The Witch Queen -- weapon crafting.
While the weapon is a first-person melee-based one, it can fire projectiles, and even deploy energy shields.

According to Bungie, it's a combat-focused progression system, meaning you'll have to use them constantly to upgrade them.
Initially, you'll be able to craft Throne World weapons, Raid weapons, and Seasonal weapons with more added to the crafting pool.
