Destiny 2 Season 17, aka, Season of the Haunted, is now live across all platforms. From progressing a brand new battle pass to playing through the new weekly mission and public events for new seasonal loot, there's plenty for you to do and see in Season of the Haunted.
As with every new Season, Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted introduces a wide array of resources that you will need to farm for better loot and to unlock new abilities. One such rare resource is Bound Presence, and if you're struggling to get this resource, here's our guide that explains how to farm Bound Presence in Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted.
Ways to farm Bound Presence in Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted
You need Bound Presence to open the final chest in the new Season 17 weekly quest called Sever. Every chest requires one Blood Presence, consuming which will reward you with Seasonal Weapons, Armours, and Opulent Umbral Energy (another valuable resource you will need to farm a lot.)
You get Bound Presence by binding the Nightmare Containment boss at the end of the new Nightmare Containment public event.
To do so, you will need 500 Vestiges of Dread, another Season 17 resource that is relatively easy to farm. You get Vestiges of Dread by completing playlist activities, opening chests, completing patrols on the Derelict Leviathan, and defeating combatants and Nightmares anywhere in the game.
Once you have enough Vestiges of Dread, simply Bind the Nightmares at the end of the Nightmare Containment public event on the Derelict Leviathan to gain Bound Presence.
Do keep in mind that the drop is random though you are guaranteed to get 1 Bound Presence the first time you bind a Nightmare every week.

Performing 4 bindings every week will also reward you with Tier 2 Powerful Gear, so make sure you have at least 500 Vestiges of Dread before starting the Nightmare Containment.
