Dead by Daylight's newest 8.1.0 Tomb Raider patch is.... an interesting one, to say the least. While this exciting and highly-anticipated update brings Lara Croft to the game, she's joined by countless strange bugs that have both made DBD fans laugh and frustrated them to no end.

What is perhaps the weirdest new Dead by Daylight bug happens when playing one of the game's most popular killers, Albert Wesker (known in-game as The Mastermind). This killer can throw survivors using his Bound ability only for them to become stuck floating in a seated position, as if they're driving an invisible car.

You can see the Wesker bug for yourself in the clip just below:

Dead by Daylight YouTuber and streamer ScottJund joked that "Wesker car mode is back," while also highlighting numerous other problems with the fresh patch.

Jund also pointed out that numerous perks - like Oppression and Dead Hard - simply don't work under certain circumstances, rendering them mostly useless. In the thread, others posted videos showing that survivors have also been able to complete generators after the gates are powered, a bug that was originally in the game back during the 1.0.0 patch.

Arguably the most annoying bug for killers is another one that involves generators. With this bug, the game automatically completes an extra generator after a survivor finishes one. This can lead to survivors winning games they wouldn't have otherwise won, putting killers in a position where it's impossible to win.

Dead by Daylight responded to fans' feedback regarding the Lara Croft update with a status report thread on X/Twitter, identifying the various issues pointed out to them by fans and when they will be fixed. The team mentions multiple hotfixes that will be employed to fix the problems in the 8.1.0 update.
