Dead by Daylight's "meta" perks are undergoing some major changes, said Behaviour Interactive in a recent update. Dead by Daylight has a total of 204 perks for players to choose from, meaning that players have a wide variety of options for how to play the game.
Recent data from Behaviour Interactive, though, suggests that just a few of those perks are used overwhelmingly more than others. Behaviour announced that these "META" perks, used frequently in high ranked games, will undergo some form of changes.
Here are the most commonly used perks in Dead by Daylight, and what kind of changes Behaviour has in store.
Dead by Daylight META perk changes
Behaviour Interactive has said that all of the following perks will undergo changes in the near future. These changes, developers said in the 6h anniversary stream, will encourage more diverse loadouts across killers and survivors.
The following killer perks are the most commonly used perks in Dead by Daylight:
- BBQ & Chili (The Cannibal)
- Corrupt Intervention (The Plague)
- Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist)
- Hex: Ruin (The Hag)
- Pop Goes the Weasel (The Clown)
And the most common survivor perks are as follows:
- Dead Hard (David King)
- Borrowed Time (Bill Overbeck)
- Decisive Strike (Laurie Strode)
- Iron Will (Jake Park)
- Self-Care (Claudette Morel)
Every one of these perks, plus more, will face changes.
“It’s an intentional attempt to shake things up,” said Matt S, Dead by Daylight’s Design Director. “There have been adjustments to certain controversial perks in the past, but this is the biggest collection of perks being changed at once.”
The following graphics display just how common each set of "meta" perks are across killers and survivors respectively.
These aren't the only perks that will undergo changes, though; the team says a total of 40 perks will be updated. It's currently unknown what any of the exact changes will be, but it's highly likely that they may change the "meta" of the game in the future.
