A total of 16 teams are competing at the PGL Antwerp Major Europe A event. Some of the teams have qualified for this event thanks to their placement in the PGL Stockholm Major 2021, while others had to go through gruelling open qualifiers.

PGL Antwerp 2022 Europe A RMR schedule and format
The PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Europe A RMR event runs from 17th to 20th April 2022. Matches start at 09:00 UTC time each day.
The tournament features a 16 Team Swiss System Format, and the Buchholz system is used to seed matches from Round 3 to 5.

All matches are best-of-one, with the exception of the Elimination and Advancement matches, which are best-of-three affairs.
Prize pool distribution PGL Antwerp Europe A RMR
There's a total prize pool of $95,000 up for grabs during the Europe A RMR event for PGL Antwerp. However, the biggest prize for the teams competing has to be the spots at the actual Major.
For this RMR event, there are four Legend status spots, and four Challenger status spots available, signifying just how strong the region is. Check out the prize pool distribution below.
- 1st place - $47,500 and Legend status.
- 2nd place - $23,750 and Legend status.
- 3rd place - $14,250 and Legend status.
- 4th place - $9,500 and Legend status.
- 5th to 8th place - Challenger status.
