Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) has turned 10. In celebration of the ever-popular esports title, Valve has unleashed a new CS:GO update in the early hours of the morning on 17th August 2022. If you are looking for the patch notes for the latest CS:GO update, we've got you covered.
The CS:GO update released on 17th August throws Tuscan into competitive matchmaking alongside two other maps and adds a 10 Year Birthday Sticker Capsule, a Coin, and more, so let's get started.
CS:GO Map Changes - Tuscan To Matchmaking
First and foremost, it is important to note that while Anubis, Breach, and Tuscan have been added to official Competitive Matchmaking thanks to the new CS:GO update, this doesn't mean the maps will show up in esports tournaments.
To answer a burning question and make things abundantly clear, Tuscan is not part of CS:GO's Active Duty Map Pool.

As per the official patch notes for the CS:GO update released on 17th August, map changes are as follows:
- Anubis, Breach, and Tuscan have been added to official matchmaking in Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch game modes.
- Primetime and Blagai have been added to official matchmaking in Wingman game mode.
- Climb, Crete, Hive, and Iris have been removed from official matchmaking.
The Active Duty Map Pool in CS:GO remains unchanged.
CS:GO 10 Year Birthday Sticker Capsule & Coin
Before we get to the 10 Year Birthday Sticker Capsule and Coin, we urge players to head into CS:GO and check out the chickens with birthday hats. Go to Inferno, trust me.
Following the 10th-anniversary sticker competition for the community, the 10-Year Birthday Sticker Capsule features over 60 community-submitted designs, which include the all-new animated "Lenticular" quality.
There's also a Coin in the form of a cupcake topped with a Coin design. Players can grab the CS:GO birthday coin as their first drop of the week.
Lastly, Valve also added the ability to quickly see all items in a case or capsule. Browse to the container in-game and click "inspect items", then look for the arrows at the top of your screen to click through each item in the container.
