Players have been able to get and use Horses and Rhinos as Mounts, but now they can have Camels as Mounts in Conan Exiles. The announcement was made during the Developer Livestream for the upcoming Age of War Chapter 3 update, in which developer Funcom provided details for the latest Mount addition.
As the update is now available for playtesting on its Public Beta servers, there are still a handful of questions that players have yet to learn about them. So, if they’re looking to get a Camel as a Mount, here’s what we know thus far on acquiring the Camel Mounts in Conan Exiles Age of War Chapter 3.
How To Get The Camel Mounts In Conan Exiles?
The Age of War Chapter 3 update will add plenty of unique content like PvE Sieges, the Tavern System, and plenty of Quality-of-Life (QoL) updates available in Public Beta. With this update, players can also finally add a new mount to make traversal easier across the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah.
While we have previously covered in a separate guide on acquiring Camel Calves as pets, Camels will be available as Mounts in the upcoming update. According to the Chapter 3 Developer Livestream, Camels will reportedly have the same acceleration, speed, and health as Horses; however, the developer has noted that it will have increased Inventory space compared to other Mounts available.
Additionally, they will be adding different variants or skins for Camels for players to acquire, but details on this are unknown as of writing. As such, once players acquire a Camel Calf, they can place it inside a Stable or Animal Pen to craft a Camel, which then can be utilized for traveling; however, it may be possible that the Came Calf captured will bear no influence on the type of Camel received.
As for acquiring a Camel, the developer hasn’t stated how players can get a Camel Mount, but it’s possible, but they may likely be found in the wild throughout the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah. Likewise, its variations or skins could be available through the Battle Pass or Bazaar for players to purchase, as it’s unknown whether various vendors will sell an adult Camel to be used as a Mount.
Lastly, it’s not clear if players can equip a saddle to a Camel, but if possible, this will function as a type of protective armor for the Mount and will be slotted in a separate armor slot within the Camel’s Inventory, which may increase the Camel’s acceleration, defense, motility, and speed depending on the type of saddle, much like Horses and Rhinos.
The Age of War Chapter 3 update is available in Public Beta, which will be launching on 14th December 2023. Conan Exiles is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam.
