How to unlock the SKS in COD Mobile

Every season of Call of Duty: Mobile usually sees the introduction of two new weapons, one at the start of the season and one at around the mid-way point.

At the start of Season 1 we got the FR .556 assault rifle and now, alongside the introduction of the new BR Buff Season Challenge, we have the SKS marksmen rifle.

The SKS is the second marksmen rifle in the game, after the Kilo bolt-action, but unlike the Kilo the SKS is a semi-automatic rifle and a much more viable weapon in the current meta.

To get your hands on the SKS players will need to unlock it. There are two ways to do so, one that will cost you real-world money, and one that won't. Here is how you can do it.

How to unlock the SKS in COD Mobile

The first way to unlock it and the one that is going to cost you cold, hard cash is through the Pestilence Draw. There are 10 items in the draw with players getting a seemingly random chance of getting one.

The prizes include emotes, weapon skins, kill animations etc and, of course, the legendary variant of the SKS, dubbed Particle Splitter. The first draw costs 30 COD points and gets exponentially more expensive. You could easily spend around US$30 for the gun using this method though you would of course get the other rewards.

The other way to unlock the SKS doesn't involve any cost. Simply complete the eight BR Buff season challenges and you will get your hands on the SKS and much more besides.

All the challenges are based around the Battle Royale game mode and should take roughly 2-4 hours to complete.

Here are the challenges and all rewards:

1. Play 3 BR Matches
   200 x Credits + 2000 Battle Pass XP
   
   
2. Kill 5 Enemies in High Tier Loot Zone marked in orange on the BR map (Loot Zone are random every match)
   Scout - Warp + 2000 Battle Pass XP
   
   
3. Use Trap Master BR Class 10 Times in Battle Royale
   Backpack 1 - Warp + 2000 Battle Pass XP
   
   
4. Pick up a Customized Weapon from an Airdrop in Battle Royale 3 Times
   Weapon XP Card + 3000 Battle Pass XP
   
   
5. Kill 5 Enemies with a Customized Weapon from your Loadout
   FHJ-18 - Warp + 4000 Battle Pass XP
   
   
6. Pick up an Epic Weapon in Battle Royale 3 Times
   ORV - Trance + 5000 Battle Pass XP
   
   
7. Kill 5 Enemies with a Legendary Weapon in Battle Royale
   Weapon XP Card x 15 + 6000 Battle Pass XP
   
   
8. Kill 5 Enemies with Annihilator in BR (Available from Airdrops)

Upon completion of the eight and final challenge players will be awarded the standard SKS and 6000 Battle Pass XP.
