Call of Duty: Mobile Season 2 Task Force 141 has finally gone live. The new update features several significant gameplay changes, including a new Hardhat map, guns and fixes. As usual, there's also the shiny new battle pass, bearing highly desired rewards.
The new themed Counter Intel event also adds an interesting twist and arrives alongside a new JAK-12 shotgun and a slew of recent weapon balance changes. So, it's only natural that players want to procure the best weapons and equipment for using Multiplayer or Battle Royale matches this season.
Fortunately, there aren't too many changes to the submachine gun class, with only the RUS 79u receiving a buff; however, rest assured that we have you covered in identifying which weapons to wield at the centre of your loadouts and which should be shelved forever.
So without further ado, here is our tier list of the best SMGs in COD Mobile Season 2, ranked from best to worst.
COD Mobile Season 2 Task Force 141 - Submachine Gun tier list
SMGs are lightweight automatic weapons with relatively low-energy pistol cartridges. They are typically used at short to medium ranges and have a high rate of fire.
Note: Our tier lists are not an exact science; however, we do strive to make our SMG list as accurate as humanly possible.
There are 17 SMGs in COD Mobile Season 2 2022. This followed after the developers brought reinforcements to their catalogue, with the fan-favourite PPSh-41 SMG becoming available in the game.
As expected, the developers switched direction this season after introducing the JAK-12 shotgun, capable of rapidly gunning down enemies in close quarters. While they did make several changes to the Assault Rifle class, only one SMG, the RUS79u, was altered this season.
Description of the tiers
- S-Tier: Even without the perfect loadout, the S-Tier assault rifles in COD Mobile Season 2 2022 are considered the best of the best. You can't go wrong with these meta weapons.
- A-Tier: With the right attachments and a great loadout that suits your playstyle, the A-Tier assault rifles can compete with the S-Tier.
- B-Tier: These SMGs can still pack a punch with the perfect loadout and should be considered average.
- C-Tier: Weapons in this tier are only effective in specific situations or for particular playstyles. You will require the perfect loadout to get the job done.
- D-Tier: The trash tier. You would be better off simply going for one of the other assault rifles on this list.
S-Tier
The PP19 Bizon and the QXR have been the top options in this class for a couple of seasons now. However, the arrival of the PPSh-41 in Season 1: Heist aimed to change the panorama, and it certainly delivered.
By itself, this SMG may not wow everyone, but with the right loadout, it has a mind-blowing TTK, fire rate and power that works beautifully in short ranges and takes out opponents before they can even see you coming.
A-Tier
- RUS-79U
- Fennec
- MX9
The Fennec has been on the brink of becoming a meta weapon for a while now, dealing serious damage with a respectable fire rate. On the other hand, the RUS-79U just received a buff for Season 2 in COD Mobile, improving the 4-shot range from 3.5m to 8m. Followingly, we'll monitor its performance this season and gauge whether it's worthy of meta S-tier status.
B-Tier
- GKS
- AGR 556
- HG40
Now we enter the “uninspiring” group relatively quick as none of these weapons excels at valuable anything in particular, which pushes them to be backup plans at best.
Notably, the GKS SMG has some potential because of its high firepower, but a sluggish ADS combined with a slow fire rate compared to other SMGs has this gun stuck on the B-tier.
C-Tier
- Pharo
- Razorback
- Cordite
Despite the cool-sounding names, we assure you that the chance of winning a match while holding one of these guns is very close to zero as they are highly unreliable, weak and slow. So please don't bother with them.
D-Tier
- MSMC
- PDW-57
- Chicom
Last, and in this case, definitely least, the MSMC, PDW-57 and Chicom rank at the very bottom of this tier list, as they are so bad that we often forget they even exist. We may be biased and frustrated with the Chicom, mainly as we are reasonably confident that it is just a disguised Nail Gun, generating very little damage with a very slow fire rate.
And that's it. We've reached the end of our submachine gun tier list for COD Mobile Season 2: Task Force 141. As we continue playing the game, we will adjust this tier list as needed throughout the season.
