Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8 is around the corner and will release on September 22 at 5 pm PT. The update will be based on the game's second-anniversary theme, which is on October 1, and to celebrate it, Activision will introduce new events, rewards, and more based on the anniversary.
Activision has announced COD Mobile Season 8 on their social media handles, and along with this, the arrival of a brand new battle royale map is also confirmed. Blackout, the first-ever battle royale map in the Call of Duty franchise, will be making its way in COD Mobile's upcoming season and will be available to play on September 22.
The map was first introduced in Black Ops 4 and has been fully replicated for Call of Duty: Mobile. Blackout features a number of iconic locations from the Black Ops universe, including Nuketown Island, Firing Range, Ghost Town, Cargo Docks, and more.
Players can have a look at the map that is teased in the COD Mobile Season 8 announcement video:
In addition to this, Activision has also announced the temporary removal of the Undead Siege mode from the game. Players won't be able to play the popular Zombies mode until it returns in COD Mobile Season 9 with a ton of improvements and new content.
