A new city management simulator is on the way from developer Colossal Order. Cities Skylines 2, a sequel to Cities Skylines, is set to launch across PC, Xbox and PS5. However, just recently, the developers announced that they need a little bit more time before the console version is ready to launch.
PC versions will be sticking to the original October 24th release date, but those who are looking to jump in on Xbox or PS5 will be waiting that little bit longer. So what does this mean for Xbox Game Pass? Previously it was revealed that Cities Skylines 2 would be heading to Xbox and PC Game Pass, so with the recent delay, will that still be the case?
When Is Cities Skylines 2 Coming To Game Pass?
Following the announcement of the Cities Skylines 2 console version delay, Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive put out an FAQ page to address the concerns that players might have. One of the FAQs deals with the topic of Game Pass.
According to the developers, Cities Skylines 2 will still come to both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, but one will arrive before the other. Cities Skylines 2 will launch on PC Game Pass on its PC release date of October 24, 2023.
The game will arrive on Xbox Game Pass once it releases on console, which is now scheduled for Spring 2024. Players will still receive access to the same content on console as it does on PC.
Cities Skylines 2 will launch on PC via Steam, Microsoft Store, and PC Game Pass on October 24, 2023.
