Much like the original, Cities Skylines 2 features a day/night cycle so you can see how your city adapts and changes over time. Nightlife might become more vibrant in the evenings, or citizens might find themselves doing more shopping during the day.
On top of this, the lighting and atmosphere changes with the time of day. At night, the whole city will look a lot darker. For some, that makes the regular goings on a little harder to see. So is it possible to make it daytime permanently in Cities Skylines 2, so that you have more consistent light to work with? Here's what you need to know.
How To Turn Off Night Time In Cities Skylines 2, Permanent Daytime
If you're having trouble with the night cycle in Cities Skylines 2, then you'll be pleased to know that there's a way to make it daytime permanently. All you'll need to do is head to the game's settings and look for the "Gameplay Settings." Here, you'll see an option to toggle the Day/Night settings off.
The good news is that it doesn't effect the actual in-game time. Even with Night turned off, the hours will still continue to pass but daytime will always be visible. It can be hard to see what's happening in your city during the Night, and even harder when trying to build or place infrastructure, so having the option to turn Night off completely makes a huge difference.
