Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive have announced that Cities Skylines 2 will require some extra development time before the title can release on console. Originally scheduled for release on October 24, the studios have announced that they "need more time to reach the quality targets we have set."
As a sequel to popular city management simulation game Cities Skylines, this new title seeks to improve and expand on the original's gameplay and mechanics. Players will have more room to build out their cities, as well as a more dynamic world for the virtual citizens to thrive in.
Despite the delay heading to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions of Cites Skylines 2, the release date for the PC version remains unaffected. Cities Skylines 2 will continue to launch on PC on the original release date of October 24, 2023.
