Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 should release on 1 February 2023, according to the in-game battle pass countdown. Following the previous release patterns, Call of Duty seasons typically lasts around 9-11 weeks. In this regard, it's safe to assume that Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 will be released sometime in early February.

If the leaks are accurate, then Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 will have a Japanese theme. The artwork for season two was shared by WhatIfGaming, which showcases the Call of Duty's Castle map and Japanese aesthetics.

Apart from this, data miners have also revealed that the Warcom Operator, ‘Ronin’ featured from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, is returning to the game with the next season. Finally, the update will also bring Raids, a new three-player co-operative mode to extend Modern Warfare 2’s content.
