COD Warzone Pacific Season 1 is now live after a highly-anticipated launch day. The End of Verdansk event signaled the switch to the new Pacific map, and Caldera is now available for players to explore.
Of course, Season 1 of Warzone Pacific will bring tons of new content for players to enjoy. The brand new Pacific island map arrives alongside new weapons as well as perks to customize your loadout.
It can offer a competitive advantage to be clued in this early in the season, so here's everything you need to know about all the new perks in Warzone Pacific Season 1.
Warzone Pacific Season 1 - New perks
Highlighted by Activision during the COD Warzone Pacific Patch Notes reveal, two new perks will be coming to the battle royale for Season 1 at Caldera. In addition to these perks, players will also have the option of a new incendiary grenade to further customize their loadouts.
Serpentine
The first perk is called Serpentine, and it reduces incoming damage while sprinting. In further detail, regular sprinting slightly reduces all damage from ballistics and explosives, while Tactical Sprinting can cut damage by more than 25% of its normal value.
To unlock Serpentine, players must reach tier 21 of the Season 1 battle pass. Keep in mind this is outside of the free 20 unlockable levels and will require you to purchase the entire battle pass.
Intuition
The next new perk available for unlocking in Season 1 of Warzone Pacific is called Intuition. With this perk, your vision will pulse when enemies are nearby, even through walls.
Intuition operates similar to High Alert in previous titles, just with a shorter range of effectiveness. The perk can offer a major help in close-range fights with enemies around the corner. To unlock Intuition, players much reach tier 44 of the Season 1 battle pass.
Special Incendiary Grenade
New Lethal Equipment is also available for unlocking in Season 1 of Warzone Pacific. The Special Incendiary Grenade, as it's called, obscures an area in a white fog and burns those who come close.
This grenade deals a small burst of damage within a large radius at the detonation point, then deals burn damage every second to those who stay within its range. Damage scales the longer someone is within the area and lasts for a longer time than similar weapons, the Thermite and Molotov Cocktail.
This grenade is available to unlock by reaching tier 39 of the Season 1 Warzone Pacific battle pass.
