Modern Warfare 2 Season 5 Prestige: Rank Cap, Rewards, How To Unlock

The official release date and start time for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone’s Season 5 update have been announced by Activision, along with fresh details on the new content that fans can look forward to, such as new multiplayer maps, events, weapons, Operator bundles, and more.

The Prestige Rank rework is a major highlight of the latest update, which raises the rank cap and adds a variety of new rewards. Here are all the key details you need to know about the Prestige Rank update in Modern Warfare 2 Season 5.

When Season 05 launches, the Prestige Rank cap is set to increase from 17 to 21, with a new maximum level cap of 1,050. Each of the four new Prestige Ranks and 200 levels come with a new icon beside the number, as follows:

• Prestige 18: Unlocked at Level 900.
• Prestige 19: Unlocked at Level 950.
• Prestige 20: Unlocked at Level 1000.
• Prestige 21: Unlocked at Level 1050 — this is the maximum level that can be achieved in Season 5.

You will get an exclusive Kastov-74u Weapon Blueprint: “No Warning" (shown above) when you reach Prestige 21. This Weapon Blueprint is ideal for aggressive Operators. It offers hip-fire for close combat or red dot sight for mid-range combat, giving it versatility.

As before, all progress will not reset at the beginning of each Season. You can continue ranking up at the level at which you ended Season 4, whether it was before the Prestige Ranks (1–55) or within the Prestige Ranks (56–1050).

How To Access Prestige Challenges In Modern Warfare 2 Season 5

To access the Challenges, open the COD HQ menu (at the top-right of your screen) and choose the “Challenges” tile to see all the Challenges in the game. For Prestige-related Challenges, go to the Calling Card Challenges section. You can earn new Calling Cards, such as Animated Calling Cards, by completing these Prestige Challenges and full sets of Challenges.
